Situated on forty-one (41) acres at S. English Station Road next to Christian Academy, Signature Point will recall the beloved architecture of days gone by, including Georgian and Jeffersonian styles. Designed by Bob Koch of national award winning Fugleberg Koch Architects of Winter Park, Florida, the new community will feature period-specific architectural details in keeping with traditional homes found in St. James Court and Belgravia in Old Louisville.

Exterior features will include a variety of brick colors, natural stone accents, wrought iron railings and private balconies on both the front and rear of the homes.

Signature Point, one of Louisville Metro's first Traditional Neighborhood Developments, or TNDs, will bring a multi-generational, urban lifestyle to the suburbs. Signature Point will have the ambiance of a traditional neighborhood but will offer maintenance-free living with all of the amenities today's busy lifestyles demand.

TNDs are planned communities with a discernible activity center and a balance of private and public spaces. In TNDs, buildings are close to each other and to sidewalks. Signature Point addresses each of these design elements with courtyards, pedestrian-friendly streets, parallel parking, rear-loaded garages, decorative street lighting, jogging paths, puppy playground and a park area containing a playground, and an amphitheater for community events. Signature Point also features a clubhouse with a swimming pool, fitness center and children’s learning center.

Streets and park areas are heavily landscaped with mature trees that have been harvested from the site. Harvesting the trees, transplanting them and then moving them again for final planting has been a very costly endeavor but it will be well worth the time and effort seeing more mature and native trees in the beautiful park areas and streets as opposed to young trees that would take years to mature.

When completed, Signature Point will consist of over 300 condominiums offered as 2, 2 ½, and 3-story townhouses, big houses and stacked flat units. Phase I of the development opened for sale in Spring 2007 and offers 6 floor plans. Units range in size from 2,185 to 2,715 square feet with prices from $400,000 to $530,000.

The Big Houses of Signature Point feature the same high quality materials and attention to detail as our Town Homes. The Big Houses however, offer 1 or 1½ story floor plans ranging in size from 1,700 to 3,800 square feet. Construction of the first Big Houses will begin in mid 2008.
